Getting enough sleep is perhaps one of the most important things we can do for our health and body. Sleep is a chance for the body to repair itself and to reenergize.

Ever since I read the book “Why We Sleepby Matthew Walker (not an affiliate link), I became more aware of how sleep virtually impacts every cell in our body and how not getting consistent and adequate high-quality sleep can severely impact our body.

I made a promise to myself that I would try to get at least 7 hours of sleep if not more every single night…

Try to take a moment to absorb this mouth shattering statistic:

In 2016, over 1.9 billion adults (18 years and older) were overweight. Of these adults, a massive 650 million were obese.

The U.S. adult obesity rate is 42.4% which represents an increase of 26% since 2008.

I don’t know about you but I refer to obesity as a pandemic and it’s only going to get worse.

Fast food, junk food, physical inactivity, etc. are only making it worse.

You can go to McDonald’s and order whatever on their menu and have it ready in around 5 minutes. …

Sodium is something that we all take for granted. We add it to our food for flavor & texture in the form of salt (40% sodium / 60% chloride) and salt acts as a preservative.

Sodium is an essential nutrient for the human body. It plays an important role in muscle and nerve function, water and fluid balance, and control of blood pressure and volume.

Infrared light is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which is the entire range of light that exists.

This spectrum is divided from longest wavelength to shortest into:

  • Radio
  • Microwave

  • Visible
  • Ultraviolet
  • X-ray
  • Gamma ray

Common devices such as remote controls, night vision cameras, thermal imaging cameras, etc. all use infrared light.

In fact, all objects emit electromagnetic radiation and most of the radiation emitted by the human body and the sun is infrared.

It’s pretty simple, right?

When you have to poop, you go to the toilet, sit on it, poop until you are satisfied, get up and clean yourself, and be on your way.

My dad has had asthma for the past 10 years and probably for much longer but it’s been 10 years since his symptoms have started appearing more regularly.

Asthma is a disease or condition that primarily affects the lungs. During an asthma attack, the lung airways become constricted, swollen, and inflamed. These airways produce extra mucus which causes shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing.

Simply put, if you want to get somewhere in life, not only do you have to be persistent but also consistent.

Consistency is just as important as persistency. An easy life-hack to become more consistent is to form habits.

Yeah, we all know sleep is important and we can’t feel well-rested and mentally refreshed without it.

But sleep is not something that we can just turn on with the turn of a switch.
